Darussalam is a 40-year-old Islamic publisher selling across four Shopify stores in four currencies. I lead their e-commerce technology. Instead of stacking paid apps, we built the order-value features ourselves, shaped around how their customers actually buy.

I'm Fahad Azhar, Head of E-commerce Technology at Dtech Systems, where I run Shopify for a four-store group across the UK, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and the UAE.

Before code, I spent eight years in e-commerce operations: order pipelines, warehouses and courier reconciliation, including Aramex in Dubai. So I build stores around how orders are really picked, packed and paid for, not just how the homepage looks.

Today I work across Liquid, JavaScript, React, Shopify Functions and the Admin API, plus WordPress and WooCommerce when a project needs it.

Do you work with agencies on a white-label basis?

Yes. A big part of my work is overflow development for agencies. I work inside your process and tools, under your brand, and I'm happy to start with a small paid task so you can judge the quality first.

Which time zones do you cover?

I'm based in Pakistan (GMT+5). My day overlaps with UK, EU and Gulf working hours, and I regularly cover US mornings for calls and handovers.

Do you work on Shopify Plus?

Yes. I build Shopify Functions (custom discounts, payment and delivery rules), checkout customisations, custom apps and multi-store setups for Plus and non-Plus stores. I always check plan limits before building, so you never pay for something your plan can't run.

How much does a project cost?

Hourly work is $70/hr. Most projects get a fixed quote after a free 20-minute call or audit, so you know the full cost before anything starts.

Will my live store be at risk while you work?

No. All work happens on a duplicate draft theme with a preview link. Nothing goes live until you approve it, and the previous version is backed up.

Do I own the code?

Yes, 100%. Everything lives in your Shopify store, and in your GitHub if you use one. No lock-in and no monthly fees for custom features I build.
