Do I need Shopify Plus for custom Functions?
Not always. Discount Functions work on any plan through a custom app. Payment and delivery customisations from a custom app need Shopify Plus. I check your plan first and suggest a non-Plus route when one exists.
Will a custom Function slow down my checkout?
No. Functions run on Shopify's own infrastructure with strict size and time limits, which is why they are faster than script-based apps.
Who owns the code?
You do. The app lives in your Shopify organisation and the code can sit in your own GitHub.
