The brief
What the client asked for.
Our customers buy Islamic books from three Shopify stores. We wanted one app they keep on their phone, not three websites.
The app builders on the App Store charge every month, for every store, and none of them can hold a real Quran reader.
The Quran had to be 100% authentic, down to every mark, and it had to work without internet.
And it should bring people back every day, gently, with reminders that respect their time.

Problems solved
The hard parts, and how we fixed them.
Case 01
Hidden marks in the Quran text
ProblemThe word data carried tiny pronunciation hints that the Arabic font drew as a stray letter, and three verses had small spelling errors.
FixRebuilt the display text from the reference Uthmani text and added an audit that checks all 6,236 verses on every rebuild. Result: 6,236 out of 6,236 exact.
Case 02
Offline recitation on iPhone
ProblemSafari on iPhone won't play saved audio unless the file is served in pieces, so offline recitation stayed silent.
FixThe service worker now serves saved audio in the byte ranges iPhone asks for, so saved recitation can play with no connection.
Case 03
Reminders that feel personal
ProblemA fixed 8 a.m. reminder is easy to ignore.
FixEach reminder goes out the next day at the time the person actually read. A database job runs every 5 minutes and only reads the reminders that are due, so it stays light.
Case 04
The wrong store in the cart
ProblemSwitching country could leave a UK product in a Pakistan cart and break checkout.
FixEvery store now has its own cart, and checkout always goes to the right Shopify store.
